Stallions in the American Connemara Pony Society in the early 1970s often had stallion sheets.
Below are the stallion sheets for 17 Connemara stallions that were actively promoted at the time.
The sheets were loose among my late mother’s library of Connemara books and other papers, so it’s difficult to establish whether they were distributed as single sheets or together in some sort of binder (they do have binder holes on the left side).
There are few photos of these stallions online now due to the early years of the ACPS predating the internet. We hope you find these helpful as you track your own horses’ heritage.
The stallions below are Bar Bar A’s Kilkerrin Paddy, *Camlin Cinco, Erin Tooreen, Far Above’s Shannon (two sheets), Fox Ridge Star Light, Gilnocky Mullingar, Hideaway’s Erin Smithereen, Hideaway’s Erin Tooreen, Madcap’s Irish Coffee, RBR Georgia Cavalier, Rose Hill’s El Lasto, *Ruta Raitni (no photo), Shenanigans, Spring Ledge Bantry Bay, Stoney’s Acres Patrick, *Texas Hope, and Whitewood Galway Bay.
