Heaven’s Ridge Mistykil Sunset at age 2 in 1993.

Heaven’s Ridge Mistykil Sunset, a dark brown mare (1991, out of Sahuaro Misty Sunrise by Lynfields Kiltuck), was a broodmare and performance horse for Kathy Manyo of Ledgewood Farm in Ohio.

Her nickname was Lexie.

She brought together the best of the Texas Hope and Oak Hill genes.

Kathy kept her horses at her farm and gave a lot of lessons. It was important to her that her Connemaras could be ridden and trusted with any level of rider. She was very high on Lexie’s role in her riding program, in addition to Lexie’s contributions as a broodmare.

Our research has found nine offspring for Lexie, including Brogan of Ledgewood, who continues to produce offspring for Jungbluth Valley Farm, as of 2025.

We wish Ledgewood’s Rebel Star, born in 1998, had been kept a stallion, as well. He was gelded and sold as a riding horse. He may not have been registered (we can’t find it), and we are unsure of his sire (Pony Hollow Winter Rebel seems likely), but he was beautiful.
