The dark brown stallion (1987, out of Hideaway Bay by Lynfields Kiltuck) was the most prolific of Kiltuck’s offspring, putting more than 53 foals on the ground.

He also was trained as a hunter/jumper and dressage horse and could be ridden bridleless. He and owner Vickie Maris frequently gave bridleless demonstrations at area horse gatherings and fairs.

In addition, he was a lesson horse to Vickie’s students.

“I knew, prior to meeting Madison, that I wanted him in my life, simply from the terrific memories I had of knowing and riding his sire (Kiltuck) and dam (Hideaway Bay) while in Virginia,” Vickie said. “Madison has never let me down. He is such a fun ride, very athletic and has the biggest, kind heart I’ve ever known in a pony. As a breeding stallion, he’s done an incredible job of stamping his babies with many of his fine characteristics. It is fun to visit a customer’s farm and walk into their pasture knowing instantly which baby is the Madison baby. Each one has Madison’s eyes. I’d recognize them anywhere.”
