Round Robin’s Easter Bonnet

The 13-2 hand bay mare (1963, out of Clare Dun by Fox Ridge Star Boy) produced eight foals by the time she was 12, when she had her last filly, Kerrymor’s Autumn Hope.
Robin had a successful Pony Club career in her early years, then won many championships in Connemara and pony hunter divisions as she grew older, even as late as in her 30s.
She was a half sister to An Tostal, whose name graces the American Connemara Pony Society’s performance award for stallions.
Robin lived her final years with the Hopkins family, serving as the longtime mount of son Chapman.
Video
In this video, Round Robin's Easter Bonnet is being shown on the flat by a catch rider in the 1970s. The girl was a bit big for Robin's medium pony size and had never ridden her. In addition, the class was held in a windstorm. Nonetheless, Robin won. Under normal circumstances, Robin always won her flat classes, including beating daughter Hope. It is the only video we have of Robin.
